When is the 2019 Chicago St. Patrick’s Day Parade?
Every year, once March starts, people throughout Chicago begin to pull out their green attire and stock up on Guinness beer and Jameson whiskey in anticipation of Saint Patrick’s Day. Of course, prior to going out and bar-hopping your favorite Irish pubs, we recommend taking some time to check out the 2019 Chicago St. Patrick’s Day Parade!
Featuring the yearly tradition of a dyed-green Chicago River, the City of Chicago takes pride in its St. Paddy’s Day display. We’ll walk you through where and when you’ll find the upcoming parade:
This year, St. Patrick’s Day falls on Sunday, March 17, however the parade will be held on Saturday, March 16, beginning at noon.
2019 Chicago St. Patrick’s Day Parade Route
The 2019 Chicago Saint Patrick’s Day Parade starts at 12 pm, with the beginning of its route placed at the corner of Balbo Ave and Columbus Drive. It then travels north on Columbus Drive and ends on Monroe Street.
If you’re looking for a more authentic Irish St. Patrick’s Day experience, the Irish-American Heritage Center will be hosting their annual St. Patrick’s Day festival, which will feature traditional Irish dancing, gifts, drinks, and cuisine.
