Checklist of Spring Car Maintenance Items

Spring is finally here in the Midwest, and as such it’s time to wipe off the road salt and get your vehicle ready for the spring. There are several key things that drivers should look into when prepping their vehicle for spring, especially if you’re experiencing lingering issues from the winter months.

A good place to start is by checking to see if your vehicle is up-to-date on its regular maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, etc. You’ll also want to make an appointment to have any problems with your vehicle checked out by an expert service department, such as the one you’ll find here at Continental Honda. Some issues you may have noticed in the winter months that should be checked include:

  • A mechanic pours engine coolant into an overheated automobile radiator in an attempt to cool it down and stop the steam.Stalling
  • Difficulty starting your vehicle
  • Running roughly
  • Unevenly worn tires
  • “Check engine” lights lit up
  • Dull headlights

Even if your vehicle isn’t currently experiencing any of these problems, it’s still a good idea to bring it in to have one of our expert mechanics check it out. That way, you’re far more likely to avoid unexpected car problems down the road.
