What is the Honda Civic Tourer release date?
Today there aren’t a whole lot of options for active people. The choices are either get an SUV or choose a sedan and attach a bike rack or whatever you might need on it. Honda has re-imagined the whole situation. In fact, Honda has created the new Civic Tourer Concept. It’s geared towards cyclists and adventurers and is one athletic machine. But what is the Honda Civic Tourer release date? Here’s a closer look at this incredible new concept.
Unfortunately, at this time Honda has not announced any formal plans to bring the Civic Tourer Concept to the U.S. market. But with the 2016 Honda Civic due to go on sale before the end of the year, anything can happen. What we do know is this concept is pretty incredible. It features a smart bike loading rack that allows the bikes to fit fully inside the hatchback. In addition, the bike rack can be extended outwards from the rear of the hatchback. Getting up and going on your bike was never so easy.
In addition to that innovative feature, the Honda Civic Tourer Concept has a specially designed aerodynamic roof box. It’s perfect for smaller items and is a sharp addition to the concept. Inside the Honda Civic Tourer Concept is 58.9 cubic feet of load space with a toolbox, water tank and front wheel holder. It really has it all!
While the Honda Civic Tourer does feature some of the styling of the Type R, this concept truly is all its own. Under the hood is a powerful 1.6-liter i-DTEC engine. The very same engine that set a new Guinness World Record for fuel economy. A winning fuel economy of 100.31 mpg to be exact.
With this concept’s good looks and overall functionality, we really do hope that Honda brings it to market. But, only time will tell! In the meantime, continue to check back here for the latest from Honda. Thanks for reading and we hope to see you soon at Continental Honda!
