What’s new on the 2020 Honda Fit?

Honda made waves when it debuted the changed-up, quirkily-styled 2020 Honda Fit to the public. However, that altered version is not the Honda Fit that’s coming to the United States for the 2020 model-year. Americans instead get a 2020 Honda Fit that retains the popular style the model has held since 2014. Meanwhile, the re-styled iteration is debuting elsewhere on our planet.

That’s not to say that there’s nothing new for the 2020 Honda Fit in the U.S., however. One exciting addition is the equipping of the Honda Sensing driver-assistance suite on the vehicle. This slew of features will be standard on the EX and EX-L trims. It includes such tasty gizmos as:

  • Auto high-beam headlamps
  • Collision Mitigation Braking System with forward collision warning and pedestrian detection
  • Adaptive cruise control
  • Lane keeping assist system
  • Road departure mitigation with lane departure warning

The 2020 Honda Fit retains the model’s 1.5-liter iVTEC gas-burning engine. The power from this machine can be routed through either a 6-speed manual transmission or CVT. Fans of infotainment tech will also be happy to find that Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard on the Sport trim and above.
