2016 Honda Accord EX-L vs 2016 Honda Accord Touring
The two most premium trims for the 2016 Honda Accord, the 2016 Accord EX-L and 2016 Accord Touring, come loaded with top-of-the line features. From a performance standpoint, the 2016 Accord EX-L comes with two engine options: a 185 hp 2.4L 4-Cylinder with Direct Injection or a 278 hp 3.5L V-6. The 2016 Accord Touring comes standard with the 278 hp 3.5L V-6. This extra power is great for the vehicle's acceleration, but does lower the Accord's fuel economy from 27 mpg city/37 mpg highway to 21 mpg city/34 mpg highway. Part of the reason for this is the different transmissions used on each engine. The Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) used on the 185 hp 2.4L engine provides slightly better efficiency performance than the 6-Speed Automatic standard with the 378 hp V-6. Although, the simple difference in performance power also contributes to this. If fuel efficiency is your most-valued aspect in a car, the 2016 Accord EX-L might be a better choice for you.
Besides fuel economy, however, the 2016 Honda Accord Touring outshines the 2016 Honda Accord EX-L in essentially every way. The most prominent of these ways, is the 2016 Accord Touring's suite of standard safety features. Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), and Road Departure Mitigation System (RDM) all come standard on the 2016 Accord Touring. These options are available on all 2016 Accord trims, but standardization on the 2016 Accord Touring exemplifies this trim's remarkable overall quality.

Should you buy the 2016 Honda Accord EX-L or 2016 Honda Accord Touring?
If you know you want a car that comes preloaded with essentially every possible standard Accord feature, then there's no question you should make things easy for yourself and go with the 2016 Honda Accord Touring. Another perk of the Touring is that it comes with sporty 19-inch alloy wheels instead of the 17-inch alloy wheels on the EX-L. This obviously isn't necessary to the vehicle, but it gives the 2016 Accord Touring a classy appearance. If some of the features that come standard on the 2016 Accord Touring don't appeal, or seem necessary, to you, the 2016 Honda Accord EX-L might be a better choice.
